“On April 22, 2026, at around 2:00 AM, officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department were called to a home on the 1500 block of Chandler Drive regarding a reported deceased person,” the police report indicates.

“When they arrived, officers found a male who had what looked like a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Criminal Investigations Unit of the Lake Havasu City Police Department was informed and came to take over the investigation,” officials reported.
The case is still open as inquiries are ongoing.

The remains were eventually handed over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further examination. The deceased male has been identified as Darrell Sheets, a 67-year-old from Lake Havasu City, and his family has been informed. This case is still under active investigation, and more details will be shared as they become available.TV &
Darrell Sheets was a father of two — his daughter Tiffany Shane Sheets and son Brandon Sheets, who followed in his father’s footsteps and also appeared on Storage Wars. His biography mentions that he intended to pass on both the “adventure and education” of the storage auction business to his son.
In a statement, the network A&E expressed: “We are heartbroken by the loss of a cherished member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this challenging time.”
