At first glance, this striking optical illusion seems to show nothing more than a majestic eagle soaring above a dramatic mountain range. However, hidden carefully within the artwork is the silhouette or face of a man. His features blend so naturally into the surrounding shapes that many people can stare at the picture several times without realizing he is there.
The challenge is simple: can you find the hidden man before someone else does? Begin by looking beyond the obvious center of the image. Slowly examine the edges, background, and unusual shapes, paying close attention to areas where different lines and forms seem to connect.
Take a particularly careful look at the eagle’s body and the jagged contours of the mountains. The hidden figure may not immediately look like a person. Instead, your brain may need to recognize how several separate shapes combine to create the outline of a face or body.
If you cannot spot him right away, try changing your perspective. Tilt your head or slightly adjust the angle of your screen. You can also zoom in to inspect smaller details, then zoom out again to view the entire image. A different perspective can sometimes make the hidden pattern suddenly become obvious.
